The more parents and caregivers can reinforce at home the wonderful work you do in the classroom, the more effective the education is at influencing children’s behaviour. 

Whether you use Hector throughout the school year, or in a specially designated week or term, getting parents involved is a great strategy.

We have created a handout that you are welcome to photocopy and send home, perhaps on the back of a page explaining the activities using Hector’s World^® that you are planning for the class. 

It can only help to have parents, grandparents or older siblings assisting a child at home with HW online materials and exploring the world of Silicon Deep.  To get them started, you can encourage parents to take an animated guided tour of Hector’s World to help familiarise them with the resource.
